Sometimes there is nothing we can do with a particular audio or video recording. Other times our editing and enhancement options seem endless. When we can do something, it can occasionally make or break the case or the investigation.
Recently we had an audio file sent to us that was recorded by an undercover officer in a prison, where there was a very loud buzzing on the source original sound, where you couldn’t really focus to hear the voices. We were able to enhance and clear up the audio enough to remove the buzz so that the prisoner and the investigator could be heard and understood.
That felt good!
