You can use security camera surveillance footage to make measurements of items, people, and locations seen in the video — heights and distances — so for example, if you have an accident scene, or a car crash, or a criminal activity, you may want to know where the car was situated on the street when that accident happened. With surveillance footage you can view the accident but you may not be able to determine exactly where the car was. With the right technology, you can go back to that location, take the right detailed measurements, and match those measurements to the surveillance footage of the accident.
